Two brothers who lived on neighboring farms, separated by a creek, came into conflict.
It was the first major fallout from a lifetime of working side by side.
But now everything had changed. What started as a minor misunderstanding, finally exploded in an exchange of harsh words followed by weeks of total silence. One morning, the elder brother heard someone knocking at your door.
- I'm looking for work, said ele.Talvez you have some service for me.
- Yes, said the farmer. Sure! See that farm over there, beyond the stream? It's my neighbor.
In fact my younger brother. We fought and I can not stand it. See that pile of wood there in the barn? For use to build a very high fence.
- I think I understand the situation, said the carpenter. Show me where the shovel and nails.
The older brother delivered the material and went to town.
The man was there cutting, measuring, working all day.
When the farmer arrived, do not believe what he saw: for some, a bridge was built there, linking the two banks of the creek.
It was a beautiful work, but the farmer was enraged and said:
- You were bold building this bridge after all I told you.
But the surprises did not stop there. When looking back to the bridge he saw his brother approaching with open arms.
Remained motionless for a moment from your side of river.
The younger brother then said:
- You were really very friendly building this bridge even after I told him.
Suddenly, a single impulse, the older brother ran toward each other and embraced, crying in the middle of the bridge. The carpenter who did the work, left with his toolbox.
- Wait, stay with us! I have other work for you.
And the carpenter said:
- I'd love to, but I have other bridges to be built ...
Ever wonder how things would be easier if we stop building fences and walls and we spent to build bridges with our family, friends, work colleagues and especially our enemies ...
What are you waiting for? Why not start now!
